I am resting under the shade of the only banayan tree left in the locality. The heat is killing me…figuratively atleast. Yes, that’s right, I can’t be killed, no matter what. Unconditional immortality. Wounds heal, amputated body parts regrow, no drawbacks. This guy in blue respirator is walking towards me. He is twice my size and is carrying a metal rod of some kind. He is now very near.
“Get off! This tree belongs to me, you’ve been sitting here for hours”
200 years of existence and humans haven’t changed a bit, still that ‘ I own this shit’ character. It has gotten kind of boring to talk to anyone. This man is no different. I reach out to my pocket and take out my knife. Before he can react, I stand up and slice his throat. He is making gurgling sounds, the blood flows out like a fountain and makes me all messy plus it’s warmth only increases my anger. Oh wait, are you here to listen to a superhero? Go away, I am a bad guy, a monster in humans disguise. These type of killings are a regular thing. I have lost count of the number of kills, theft and other horrendous shit I have done. You can’t blame me, after all no sane person(like me) would pay 5000 rupees for 1L of water, and it’s too boring to live in the same house for more than a week, I need to change houses which means eliminating the house owners.
The police? They can’t catch me, 200 years is a lot of time to learn every single form of trickery. Once they caught me but it took only 7 bullet wounds to escape. Immortality is good.

It hurts, I can’t move, they have tied me up, my wounds aren’t healing. These aliens have tore me up to study me…study why I don’t die like every other human. I am hungry, I am thirsty for years. I want to die! I want to die!
A million years later
I am still tied up to this bench, the earth has become too hot, the chamber I am in, is on fire for years, the aliens won’t help me. I am in flames but my body won’t melt, I won’t die. My voice is gone. I can’t even scream. Oh god! The earth is shaking, the ground beside has erupted, I am falling, my bounds are free, I turn in mid air. There is lava below me, I am approaching it fast. No! Please no! I am in the lava and I won’t die. I won’t d
IMMORTALITY IS SOMETHING MOST OF US HAVE CRAVED FOR AT SOME POINT OF OUR LIFE.
HERE’S IS WHAT THE BOREDOM BASHERS’ TEAM THINK ABOUT IMMORTALITY-
PRASHANT-NO, IT’S A BAD IDEA. THE EXCITEMENT OF LIVING WILL DECREASE BY THE PASSING OF TIME, WE WILL HAVE TO SEE OR FRIENDS AND FAMILY LEAVING US. ALSO SYNCING WITH THE NEW GENERATIONS WILL BE DIFFICULT.
AKSHAT- LIVING FOREVER WILL CAUSE LIFE TO LOSE IT’S VALUE. ANYTHING IN EXCESS IS NOT GOOD
SHRESTH- BEING IMMORTAL ISN'T THAT BAD, IT'S RATHER SO EXCITING TO BE A HUMOUR ON DEATH AND LIFE
EVERYTHING HAS IT'S OWN PROS AND CONS, FOR ME EXPERIENCING AGES AND GENERATION. BEING A WITNESS OF THE CHANGE WOULD BE AMAZING.
MAITRI- IF ONLY I AM GOING TO BE IMMORTAL THEN NO...
THE CHOICE SHOULD BE IN MY HANDS ... WHETHER I WANT TO DIE OR NOT
NEHAL- NOW I WOULD LOVE TO SEE WHAT GOES ON IN FUTURE BUT...THE WAY THINGS ARE GOING I DONT THINK THE FUTURE IS GOING TO BE PRETTY
SO NAH...I THINK I'LL PASS
BUT IF I COULD GET MY HANDS ON TIME TRAVEL....THEN WE WOULD BE TALKING
PURVA- ONLY IF WE CAN NOT AGE OTHERWISE WHAT IS THE POINT OF LIVING IF WE ARE TOO WEAK TO EVEN STAND ON OUR FEET.
APOORV(ME)- NO, BECAUSE WHEN THE EARTH GOES BOOM, YOU FACE THE DOOM
THE REST OF US- *ATTAINS SILENCE*
