DAY 1
As I stepped into the lift with the trolley bag, the cheap Rs.200 VR Box hanging around my neck and a slipper in the left and a sandal in the right foot, my mind only prayed one thing- let this ride be empty. Didn't happen. Instead of going down, the lift first went up 1 floor, two elderly women stepped in, stared at me up to down, and then faced the doors. The already slow lift felt even slower.
It was MISMATCH DAY! "Everyone would dress weird", I thought to myself and walked towards the college. The Autowalas had their faces lit up, assuming I was going to the railway station or airport. I smiled and went forward, my excitement increased ten-fold as I tried to peek inside the college, hoping to see someone weirder than me.
No. I saw no one. The embarrassment of looking different made me red, the disappointment of not seeing anyone dressed up to the Mismatch Theme clashed with the joy of being the most uniquely dressed up person. For once, I thought I was going to win the award for the day but DAMNNNNN..... the 1st and 2nd Years demolished all those hopes. Good Job!
In the evening, there was Treasure Hunt. We won Bitch!( There was no winner that day it was just qualification but Ahem! Ahem!). The clues were very well made, their quality exceeded everyone's expectation. Good Job!
DAY 2
TWINNING DAY. Had fun. The evening events- balloon bash (Boredom Bashers but with balloons/ sit on them to burst them and other rules), 3 legged race ( one leg common for people wearing same colour) and Dumb Charades ( Why u reading? Do I have to explain this too?)
DAY 3
Oranga Kurta and Pajama, that is my staple look for any college event. I went through the main door to find familiar faces making Rangoli, a big one, on the floor. It was TRADITIONAL DAY. I stood there for 5 minutes just looking here and there ,trying to be useful(Heh!), with the constant fear that I would fall on the rangoli which is my childhood fear, the boogeyman of my nightmares, the Arkham Asylum of my dreams. They all had already got it covered, so I stayed useless for a few more minutes until someone mentioned that a tea filter would do the job faster. I took a friend and rushed to a nearby store to get it. It felt like retrieving the infinity stones. It was the most hyped up day and the response of the people was amazing. I don't think that I can express my feelings in words so here are emojis, in order of their occurences. ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐คฏ๐คฏ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐.
In the evening there was a music and poetry event. I have never seen that seminar hall run out of seats but that they, we brought extra from other rooms and still, there were people standing. You know its good when people stand till the end. The performance by the music club was mesmerising. We turned on our flashlights and waived, clapped with the beats and sang along at moments. The otherwise broody teachers also seemed in a good mood, rocking their head side to side. Then was poetry, everyone was happy and then was singing performances from the crowd. I was the show stopper, prove me wrong if you can. My legs were shaking more than the railway coaches but still i managed to sing without dying.
Conclusion- It was definitely among 'Top 10 IITRAM moments' thanks to Nest Club(Good Club๐).
One word conclusion- Kawaiiiiii(Cuuuuute. I am at that stage where I say japanese words and feel good but if someone else does it, it irritates me. This went beyond one word xD)
DAY 4
COMIC-CON
Stupid homework made me miss it.
DAY 5
COMIC-CON(2)
The day started with me first delivering stuff- first a bike key, then the preparation room for the event key and then my friend went to see some doctor and forgot his reports because... lol who does that?
It was treasure hunt final in the evening. Two of our team members fell sick so had to find someone to fill their shoes, was very difficult since I didn't know their shoe sizes (forgive me for this joke pls). Once again the clues were very well made. My team reached the final and then I had to leave in the middle for some reason. My team battled hard. Congrats to the other team. Good job๐.
Celebration week end
It was a lot of fun getting to work with the others for the preparation of the event. The juniors carried most of the weight and hit it out of the stadium.
Itna lamba kon hi padhega.
